JOB VACANCY | PROJECT DEVELOPMENT OFFICER – REPAIR CAFE

HELP US DEVELOP REPAIR CAFÉS IN OUR CAIRNGORMS COMMUNITIES

Repair Cafes around the world are helping people to counter the throwaway culture, reduce waste and maintain skills and community connections. Boat of Garten Community Hall has been awarded funding from Cairngorms Green Recovery Fund, a partnership between CNPA and Cairngorms Trust, to help Repair Cafes to flourish in our community.

We are looking to appoint a Repair Café Project Development Officer to work alongside our volunteers in imaginative and engaging ways in order to build the networks and know-how that will sustain a repair culture long after the initial funding period.

If you are passionate about tackling climate change, have a track record of designing and delivering community projects and approach your work in ways that inspire others to get involved, then you could be just the person we’re looking for.

The post is part-time, averaging 1 day per week over 8 months and likely to be on a self-employed basis but there is flexibility for the right candidate and competitive rates depending on experience. You will report to the Hall Operations Manager on a day-to-day basis and will work with a small steering group to ensure that the aims of the funding bid are met.
