Scottish Episcopal Churches in Badenoch and Strathspey

The Scottish Episcopal Church is part of the Anglican communion.  There are two Episcopal churches in Badenoch and Strathspey.  St John’s is in Rothiemurchus, near Aviemore and St Columba’s is in Grantown on Spey.
Both welcome visitors and are wheelchair accessible.  A drink and a chat after the service is also available, if you wish to join us.
We are fortunate to have 3 retired clergy who minister to both churches plus a team of lay readers.

On the outskirts of Grantown-on-Spey (find us here), St Columba’s have a weekly service on Sunday at 10.30 am.  Throughout the year, many social events are held, as well as fundraising for charities.  We also work closely with the local Church of Scotland church, Inverallan, sharing services and social events.  More details can be found on our facebook page.

St John’s, Rothiemurchus, Aviemore.

St John’s is a small, inclusive church that traces its history back to the  beginnings of  Christianity in Scotland. The congregation is a small but vibrant community whose numbers are augmented, especially during the summer months and the skiing season, by visitors from all over the United  Kingdom and abroad.

The church can be found by following the ski road at the Southern end of Aviemore, (post code PH22 1QH). Parking is available. The main services are Holy Communion every Sunday at 10.30, plus a shorter ‘said service’ on a Thursday, also at 10.30.

Everyone is welcome.

There are a number of contacts on the web site, but the main contact for church matters is Venerable Richard Gillings at  richard.gillings698@btinternet.com . Please visit the web site at www.stjohns-rothiemurchus.co.uk for further details.
