Boat of Garten Flag Troupe

Before Louise Farley could blow her whistle and twirl her flag, ‘1st Boat of Garten Flag Troupe’ had marched onto the scene, with their dynamic music blasting from the playing fields to the village hall.

Having been an active flag trouper throughout her teens, Louise knew that she could offer something fun and different for the younger members of the village. Springing from casual chats she had, had with several of the parents in the village, ‘1st Boat of Garten Flag Troupe’ helps to not only, provide an extremely energetic workout, but also gives the opportunity for creative expression and team work. This even more so, since their first spirited performance at Deshar Primary School with numbers increasing every week!

Flag Troupe meets every Tuesday in the village hall, and involves skillfully choreographed flag movements and marching to music. Although still in the first stages of training the group has learnt quickly and will soon be marching their flags all over Badenoch and Strathspey!

They are full to capacity at the moment, but Flag Troop is open to boys and girls from 9 years and above with some parents joining in too for the workout!
