About Us
Strathspey Surveys has developed out of a small consultancy started by Penny Dunbar
in response to the demand for statistical analysis in the Highlands of Scotland.
Penny often works in collaboration with other consultants, in particular May Johnstone.In the list of past and present clients, these collaborative projects are marked *.
She also employs researchers, interviewers and data processors as the need arises.
Penny Dunbar graduated from Leicester University in 1969 with an Honours Degree in
the combined sciences of Mathematics, Statistics and Economics.
She started work in the Research Department of London’s oldest Merchant Bank and later moved to the Strategic Planning Department of the British Tourist Authority. In 1984 she and her husband moved to Strathspey in the Scottish Highlands
